Scott Bernardy, D.D.S
Dr. Bernardy received his doctoral degree in Dentistry from Case Western Reserve University in 1988. He was an officer in the Navy for 6 years where he served in the Persian Gulf War. A native of California, he moved to Maine in 1994 when he purchased the practice from Dr. Marcel Berube. Dr. Bernardy is a member of the American Dental Association, Maine Dental Association, and the Androscoggin Valley Dental Society. He also has additional continuing education in Orthodontics through the United States Dental Institute.
He has attended a mini-residency course in implantology, is a member of the Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation, and has recently become Advanced Cardio Life Saving certified. Furthermore, Dr. Bernardy has been a speaker at several dental seminars. As an outdoor enthusiast, Dr. Bernardy enjoys all four seasons whether it be skiing the slopes of Sunday River, bicycling the Maine roads, kayaking, or backpacking throughout the US. He is an avid traveler and has donated much of his time and talents to dental humanitarian missions in Honduras, Jamaica, Peru, Cambodia, Guatemala, and most recently Vietnam.

Jeff Dettori, D.D.S.
Dr. Dettori graduated with a doctoral degree in Dentistry from West Virginia University in 1992. He did his residency at Ruby Memorial Hospital in West Virginia. Dr. Jeff decided to move to Maine in 1995 to be closer to family. He has been providing our patients with exceptional general dentistry for 22 years. When he’s not serving our patient’s needs, he enjoys hunting, fishing, and is an amateur radio operator. He is also our resident sushi expert.
Jen graduated from the University of New England in 1998 and has been working as a Registered Dental Hygienist for 19 years. Jen came to our practice right out of school and has been with us ever since! She is a busy mom of two young boys and enjoys attending their sporting events.
Pauline is a graduate of UNE and has been a Registered Dental Hygienist for 33 years. She is also licensed for local anesthesia and nitrous oxide administration. She has spent the last 18 years with our practice. When she’s not with us, she is on the move….biking, hiking, downhill skiing, or scuba diving. Pauline has also combined her love of travel with her commitment to helping others on numerous dental humanitarian missions including Guatemala, Jamaica, Peru, Cambodia, Vietnam, and New Orleans. In her free time, she enjoys cooking and fine dining.
Abby graduated from UMA Bangor in 2015 with a Bachelor’s degree in Dental Hygiene and has transitioned from being a patient of the practice to joining our team. She is also licensed to administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide. Abby took part in a humanitarian mission trip to the Dominican Republic and hopes to go on many more. As an outdoor enthusiast, she likes to run, hike, and go camping. She also loves to spoil her adorable cat, Lola!
Jake graduated from the University of New England in 2016 with a Bachelor’s degree in Dental Hygiene and is also licensed to administer local anesthesia. After graduation Jake gained experience temping at various dental offices in Maine. He accepted a full time position with us because we possessed all of the things he was looking for in a dental office. When Jake is not working, you can find him hiking and camping in the summer, and on the slopes snowboarding in the winter. You can consider him a sports fanatic, as he loves all sports and plays basketball as often as he can.
Linda has been working in the dental field since 1970. Twenty three of those years has been with our practice; 5 years as an assistant and 18 years as our in house lab technician making dentures. She has extensive continuing education in removable prosthetics and does same day denture repairs for our patients. She is also Radiology certified. When she’s not working, Linda enjoys physical fitness, biking, kayaking, and traveling with her two sons.
Shae has been a dental assistant for 23 years and is Radiology certified. She has been a part of our team for 9 years assisting Dr. Bernardy. Most of her time off is spent caring for animals. Shae also enjoys physical fitness training.
Leigh started in the dental field as a receptionist for 7 years. She later became a dental assistant before taking time off to open a child care center. Now that her kids are grown, she has returned to dentistry as an assistant to both doctors and the hygiene department. She is radiology certified and eager to help where ever she is needed. Leigh has also utilized her skills on dental missions to New Orleans, Jamaica, and Peru. Her free time is spent traveling and enjoying outdoor activities.
Amanda, a graduate from Lewiston High School, decided immediately that dentistry was her career path. She started as a dental assistant at age 18 and was Radiology certified. By 22, she became one of the first EFDA (Expanded Function Dental Assistant) in the state of Maine. Amanda enjoys her career and creating healthy, beautiful smiles for her patients. In her free time she loves being outdoors in the sun or skiing with her son. Amanda is also a dog lover and simply enjoys day to day life.
Patty has worked in all aspects of the dental field since 1975. She has been employed as an assistant and receptionist for general and orthodontic practices, and more recently as office manager for an oral surgeon. She comes to us with a wealth of experience. She helps to facilitate financials with patients and answers any questions regarding insurance claims and billing. Patty enjoys boating on Sebago Lake, reading, walking, and biking. Topping her list of hobbies is spending time with her husband and dog.
Terri has been with our practice since 2004 and brings 22 years of experience working in the dental field. She takes care of scheduling patient appointments and is also available to answer questions regarding insurance claims. When she’s not in the office, you may see her driving her ’72 Mustang around town or spending time at camp with her family. Terri also enjoys reading novels.
